Henderson’s Bark in the Park Saturday, March 6
HENDERSON, Nev. -- The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Bark in the Park will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, at Paseo Verde Park, 1851 Paseo Verde Pkwy. Participation is free for all ages. Pets are welcome, but they must be leashed and handlers must be at least 10 years old. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Bark in the Park includes four hours of activities for people and their dogs, including demonstrations, educational booths, contests, products, services, and pet adoptions offered by the City of Henderson Animal Care and Control Facility. This year’s event also features a special performance by Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theater.
“Bark in the Park has become one of our most anticipated and highly attended events of the year,” said Vanessa Caster, Recreation Services supervisor for the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “Last year’s event drew more than 5,000 people to Paseo Verde Park, an increase of 38 percent over 2008. It’s a great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday, and the dogs love it just as much as the people.”
