Celebrate Black History Month at Gospel Fest
HENDERSON, Nev. – The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a celebration in honor of Black History Month from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Rd. Admission is free for all ages, but seat reservations are recommended by calling 267-4070. Vendors will be selling CDs, apparel, beverages, and food items prior to the performances starting at noon. The event is co-sponsored by the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department, Cultural Arts & Tourism Department, and KCEP Power 88.
Performers include Ken Young and friends, featuring spoken word by Shayla Love; Mountaintop Faith Ministries Choir; Ebenezer Church of God in Christ Choir; Las Vegas Mass Choir; and Rain Dance Company.
