Black Mountain Recreation Center to Host Holiday Craft Show Oct. 17
HENDERSON, Nev.— Black Mountain Recreation Center, located at 599 Greenway Rd. in Henderson, is hosting a holiday craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17. Admission is free for all ages. The event is sponsored by the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department.
The craft show features the handcrafted items of more than 40 local artisans, with items ranging from painted items and wreaths to whimsical gifts and knits items for Halloween, Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. The event is designed to provide residents with a homespun alternative to traditional holiday shopping.
“We carefully review and approve all vendors in advance to ensure variety, quality and originality,” said Tanya Myers, Recreation Services supervisor, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “No manufactured items will be sold, and that’s what makes our holiday craft show unique. This is a time of getting back to basics, and people seem to truly appreciate gifts and items that come from the heart. That’s what you’ll find at our craft show. People will appreciate the time, thought and talent that goes into each and every item on display.”
