Paseo Verde Park Going To the Dogs With Bark In the Park
HENDERSON, Nev. –Paseo Verde Park is going to the dogs on Saturday, March 3 when the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Bark In the Park returns with four hours of pet-friendly fun. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the park, located at 1851 Paseo Verde Pkwy., Henderson. Admission is free for all ages.
The event includes a variety of activities for people and their dogs, including entertainment, demonstrations, educational booths, contests, products, services, pet adoptions, and a fly ball exhibition by Atomic Dogs. The City of Henderson Police Department’s K-9 Unit will also be on hand to offer demonstrations. People are encouraged to bring their dogs, which must be leashed and under the control of an owner at least 10 years of age. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
“Dogs remain America’s favorite companion animal, with more than 43 million households owning at least one dog,” said Vanessa Caster, Recreation Services supervisor, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “As pet ownership continues to rise, we’re seeing an increase in the number of users at our dog parks and in requests for dog parks to be included in upcoming parks. Events like Bark In the Park bring people together through a shared interest and provides an opportunity for family members of all ages to enjoy some fun at one of Henderson’s premier parks.”
