Whitney Ranch Recreation Center Hosting Open House March 19
HENDERSON, Nev. – The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department’s Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Dr., is hosting an open house from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19. The free event is open to all ages.
The event will showcase the many programs, classes and amenities available. There will also be demonstrations, handouts and giveaways. Instructors and staff members will be on hand to meet and greet participants, provide tours of the center, answer questions, and assist with program enrollment. The first 50 people to sign up for a paid program at the event will receive surprise gift.
“Whitney Ranch Recreation Center is located near schools, parks and many neighborhoods, making it a convenient and fun place to spend some leisure time,” said Sarah Johnson, Recreation program coordinator, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “On a typical day we serve hundreds of people with diverse interests, from adults playing basketball in the gym or working out in the fitness room to teens enjoying some social time and preschoolers taking part in enriching classes.”
Johnson said she and the staff at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center enjoy getting to know their patrons by name, and look forward to welcoming new patrons at the open house.
“Parks and recreation is for everyone, and so is Whitney Ranch Recreation Center,” she said.
