Soccer Enthusiasts Get Their Kicks With City of Henderson Leagues
HENDERSON, Nev. – Adult soccer enthusiasts (ages 16+) may register for the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department’s spring soccer leagues Jan. 9 through Feb. 25. Team registration is $225 and can be made in person at the Sports office, located at Arroyo Grande Sports Complex, 298 Arroyo Grande Blvd. Teams may declare their color at registration. Play begins the week of March 4.
Two leagues are available to choose from, men’s 7 v. 7 and co-rec 6 v. 6. Playing fields are shorter and narrower than the standard soccer field to allow for smaller team size and optimal recreational play. The program offers a regular season and a playoff with games played on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
“We provide teams with a well-organized program that is administered by our professional staff,” said Ted Lockamon, Recreation Services supervisor, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “These leagues are designed to promote wellness, physical fitness and social interaction through recreational sports. Players can expect a premier experience every time.”
