Henderson Pools, Parks and Recreation Centers Open on July 4

HENDERSON, Nev. – The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department will be open to serve the community on Independence Day, Monday, July 4. All 52 parks are open for their normal hours of operation, 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Hours are 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at six of the City’s full-service recreation centers. Heritage Park Senior Facility, 300 S. Racetrack Rd., will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve and the Sports office will be closed.

All City of Henderson pools will be open. Hours are 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Henderson Multigenerational Indoor, Competition, and Activity pools, 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.; Heritage Park Aquatic Complex, 310 S. Racetrack Rd.; and Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool, 1575 C Galleria Dr.

Black Mountain Aquatic Complex, 599 Greenway Rd.; BMI Outdoor Swimming Pool, 105 W. Basic Rd.; Silver Springs Outdoor Swimming Pool, 1951 Silver Springs Pkwy.; Wells Outdoor Swimming Pool, 1640 Price St.; and Whitney Ranch Activity Pool, 1575 B Galleria Dr., will be open 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Admission ranges from $1 to $3, with children ages 2 and under free. All children ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water within arm’s reach at all times.
