Fall Registration Announced For Henderson Parks and Recreation Programs

HENDERSON, Nev. – Registration for City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department fall classes, events and programs opens at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15. Patrons may register online; by mail; using a City of Henderson self-serve kiosk located at City Hall, Black Mountain Recreation Center, and Henderson Multigenerational Center; or in person at any recreation center. Early registration is recommended as many classes fill up quickly.

“Previously we had different registration dates depending on the method of enrollment,” said Kim Becker, Communications & Marketing supervisor, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “While more than 95 percent of our patrons register online, there are some who don’t have a credit or debit card or don’t have online access so they must register by mail or in person. Having a single start date for all registration methods now ensures everyone has an equal opportunity to sign up for the programs they want.”

For a complete listing of the hundreds of programs available, visit Henderson Happenings, the department’s guide to parks and leisure opportunities, at cityofhenderson.com/parks. The publication is mailed to all Henderson homes and additional copies are available at City recreation centers and indoor pools. For additional information, call 267-4000.

The nationally accredited City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department provides premium services through diverse and innovative parks, recreation and natural resource opportunities. It serves the community with seven recreation centers (including a facility for adults 50+), 11 pools, 52 parks, five skate parks, two sports complexes, more than 60 linear miles of trails, Acacia Demonstration Gardens, the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, and thousands of programs for people of all ages and abilities.
