City of Henderson Parks, Pools and Recreation Centers Open On Memorial Day

HENDERSON, Nev. – The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, to serve residents' recreational needs. All 52 parks are open for their normal hours of operation, 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Hours are 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at all seven of the City's full-service recreation centers, including Heritage Park Senior Facility, but no classes will be held. The Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, 350 E. Galleria Dr., will be open 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Sports office, 298 Arroyo Grande Blvd.; is open 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

All City of Henderson pools will be open on Memorial Day for swimming enjoyment. Hours are 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the City's year-round pools, including Henderson Multigenerational Indoor Pool and Henderson Multigenerational Competition Pool, 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.; Heritage Park Aquatic Complex, 310 S. Racetrack Rd.; and Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool, 1575 C Galleria Dr.

Seasonal pool hours are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Black Mountain Aquatic Complex, 599 Greenway Rd.; BMI Outdoor Swimming Pool, 105 W. Basic Rd.; Henderson Multigenerational Activity Pool, 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.; Silver Springs Outdoor Swimming Pool, 1951 Silver Springs Pkwy.; Wells Outdoor Swimming Pool, 1640 Price St.; and Whitney Ranch Activity Pool, 1575 B Galleria Dr.

Admission ranges from $1 to $3, with children ages 2 and under free. All children ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water within arm's reach at all times.
