Aquatic Candy Cane Hunts Planned For Children

HENDERSON, Nev.— Santa dropped his candy canes while swimming in the City of Henderson’s pools. Children ages 4-12 are invited to take part in the Candy Cane Hunt events to find them. The events take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Heritage Park Aquatic Complex, 310 S. Racetrack Rd.; and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool, 1575 C Galleria Dr. Admission at the door is $1 per child per event.

The swimmer who finds the most candy canes wins a prize. Since the candy canes will be submerged, participating children must know how to swim. Parents must accompany children ages 8 and under in the water and within arm’s reach at all times.
