Thanksgiving-Themed Events Bring Families Together
HENDERSON, Nev.— The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting several Thanksgiving-themed activities and events this season. The programs are designed to bring families together through parks and recreation. Parents are encouraged to register in advance as space may be limited. Register online at cityofhenderson.com, in person at any City of Henderson recreation center, or at the self-serve kiosks located at City Hall, (240 Water St.), Henderson Multigenerational Center (250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.), and Black Mountain Recreation Center (599 Greenway Rd.).
Puttin’ For Poultry
If you think you may be the next golf legend, then sign up and show off your putting skills. You get three tries to sink a hole-in-one. Register by Nov. 5.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Join us for Charlie Brown’s annual Thanksgiving dinner. We’ll recreate his pretzels, popcorn, and jelly bean dinner and make pilgrim hats to wear while watching the movie. Register by Nov. 6.

Turkey Shoot
Think you can win a Thanksgiving turkey? Take aim with 10 shots for $5 and find out. Prizes are awarded in each age division, with divisions based on age: 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-17, and 18+. Register by Nov. 6.

Rad Tad Turkey Day
Rad Tad needs your help as he prepares for Thanksgiving. Join in the fun as we make handprint turkeys, play games, and enjoy some snacks. Rad Tad will also give a demonstration on water safety. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 2 and under attend for free.

Little Tom Turkey
Thanksgiving is near, so let’s read a story about a wild turkey that grows up to be a big gobbler. Each child will color a page related to the story. Parents are welcome to take children on an educational walk around our ponds after story time.
