Pepper Tree HOA Receives Community Pride Award
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Commemorative Beautification Commission (HCBC) named the Pepper Tree HOA recipient of its Community Pride Award. The award was presented by Mayor Andy Hafen at the Henderson City Council meeting held on March 2.
The award recognizes citizens and groups who have improved the appearance of their neighborhoods or added to the beauty or cleanliness of Henderson. Previous award winners have cleaned neglected yards and common areas or have converted turf to xeriscape, enhancing the appearance of the community. Pepper Tree HOA, located at Sunset Road and Valle Verde Drive, was nominated by resident John Ferriolo.
“Pepper Tree HOA recently completed major improvements to their neighborhood, from converting turf to xeriscape and repainting fences and gates to commercially pruning trees and installing new sidewalks,” said Doug Guild, Park Operations manager, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “A lot of time, money and care went into this project, and the result is a neighborhood that is truly beautiful.”
