Henderson’s Dirk Richwine Appointed to
Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies
HENDERSON, Nev. – Dirk Richwine, CPRP, has been appointed by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) as its representative to the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). CAPRA accredits departments and agencies that provide park and recreation programs and services.
Richwine is a Recreation superintendent at the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. He has been with the City of Henderson since 1999 and is a certified parks and recreation professional (CPRP). In July 2010, he was named a fellow of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration. He also serves on the board of the American Park and Recreation Society; as a certified CAPRA lead visitor for the National Recreation and Park Association’s Commission on Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies; state conference chair for the Nevada Recreation and Park Society; and as president-elect of the Nevada Recreation and Park Society.
