Henderson Commemorative Beautification Commission Names Chair, Vice Chair
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Commemorative Beautification Commission (HCBC) has named Rosa Herwick chair and Lynn Phelps vice chair. Other members include John Casanova, Mike Lamoreaux, Kapua Maruyama, Laura McCubbin, and Mark Zachman.
The HCBC is comprised of appointed citizen volunteers who work to develop plans for the beautification of public areas within Henderson City limits. Some of the HCBC’s projects include involvement in and support of the City’s Arbor Week program, Community Pride Award, Holiday Decorating Contest, sponsorship of a community cleanup trailer, and tree plantings held throughout the year.
The HCBC meets at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month in the Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 105 W. Basic Rd. For additional information, visit cityofhenderson.com.
