National Trails Day Celebration 2011

Family Fun Walk
Registration is 9:00-10:00 a.m.; the walk starts at 10:00 a.m.
Participants of all ages are invited to join in the one-mile fun walk.
Participants 17 years of age or under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Free T-shirts to the first 150 youths registered for the walk.

Henderson Trails Photo Contest
9:00 a.m.-noon
Visit the Henderson Trails Photo Contest display and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. Photos were submitted in ten categories and include trails from Henderson and Southern Nevada.
12:30 p.m.
Join us at the main stage for the Henderson Trails Photo Contest awards. Awards will be presented to the top three photos in each category, People’s Choice, and Best of Show.
Exhibitor Expert Talks
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Want to learn more about your favorite topic or a new topic? Visit the booth at the time listed and hear an expert speak. These 10-minute talks give you a chance to learn from an expert. If you can't make it at the time listed, be sure and visit the booth later. Exhibitors are available 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Trail Announcement
10:30 a.m.
Plans are under way for a trail that will extend around the entire Las Vegas Valley connecting communities and outdoor recreation areas such as Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and Lake Mead National Recreation Area. An announcement will be made at the main stage at 10:30 a.m. If you are a trail user, you will want to learn about this new trail opportunity.
Trails Celebration
11:15 a.m.
Join us at the main stage as we celebrate the many recently completed trails in the Las Vegas Valley and the unveiling of the Neon to Nature Website that will make navigating the hundreds of miles of Southern Nevada trails a snap.
River Mountains Loop Trail
11:45 a.m.
The 35-mile loop trail is complete! Be at the main stage to learn about our National Recreation Trail that is bringing trail users from across the country to our community.
