Parks and Recreation

The Senior Citizens Advisory Commission agenda is prepared prior to each meeting, and lists all items to be discussed at the meeting. The SCAC meets the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., excluding December. Meetings locations will alternate between the Council Chambers Conference Room and various recreation centers. (The Council Chambers Conference Room is located in City Hall at 240 Water St., 1^st Floor.) Check the City of Henderson’s events calendar for exact locations for each meeting. The SCAC advises and makes recommendations to the City Council on subjects of particular interest to senior citizens and others similarly situated. Such subjects may include, but not be limited to, transportation, housing, utility rates, recreation and cultural arts, employment, and other matters concerning the health, safety, and welfare of senior citizens.

SCAC agendas are posted at least three working days prior to Commission meetings at the following locations:

City Hall, 240 Water Street , 1^st Floor Lobbies
Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway
Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive
Fire Station No. 86, 96 Via Antincendio
