The Henderson Parks and Recreation Board agenda is prepared prior to each meeting and lists all items to be discussed at the meeting. The Parks and Recreation Board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers Conference Room, City Hall, 240 S. Water St., 1st Floor. The Parks and Recreation Board serves as an advisory board to the Public Works, Parks and Recreation director, City Manager, and City Council for all public park plans to determine compliance with the adopted element of the Henderson Comprehensive Plan and to make recommendations which will ensure compliance with the intent of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, the Parks and Recreation Department Five Year Plan, and Ordinance No. 1864. This board shall also recommend park development standards and amendments for adoption by the City Council which address the needs of the city's residents and which shall apply to all public and private parks.
