Parks and Recreation Master Plan

The City of Henderson is currently in the process of preparing a citywide Parks and Recreation Master Plan.  GreenPlay, LLC, a national parks, recreation, and open space consulting firm, has been retained to assist with the preparation of the plan.

The results of the plan will be used to assist the city in planning for the future growth of the Henderson parks system and recreational facilities over the next ten years.  The master plan will be a critical component of the development of future parks, trails, facilities, programs, and services consist with the vision and policies of the City of Henderson.

As the process moves ahead, updates and information on the plan will be posted here.

Resident Input

Resident feedback is an important part of this process and helps the city to best tailor the plan to reflect the community’s desires and needs.

The results of this survey will provide critical information in determining community values, satisfaction levels, needs and priorities, and demographics for the city’s long-term planning efforts. Questions include what types of programs, facilities, and services residents want in their parks system and where priorities should be placed. Survey is available July 16-31, 2018.
