Super Run Revs Up Henderson September 25-28

Hot rods, muscle cars and vintage vehicles from across the nation roar into Henderson September 25-28 for the 15th Annual Super Run Classic Car Show. As many as 1,000 cars and trucks, representing all years, makes and models, will be on display in the city’s historic Water Street District, along with automotive competitions, weekend concerts, a retro fashion show, and a variety of vendors. Spectator admission is complimentary.
Car aficionados can get a sneak peak at the street rods prior to the start of Southern Nevada’s largest car show at the official kickoff event on September 25. The Fiesta Henderson Hotel & Casino, 777 W. Lake Mead Pkwy., hosts the party, which features a selection of classic cars displayed in the hotel’s parking lot from noon-8 p.m.
Super Run gets into high gear September 26-28. Henderson roads will rumble when custom cars, street rods and antique automobiles cruise to the Water Street District for the weekend. In addition to admiring the street machines, gear heads, rockabillies, vintage fashionistas, and all fans will enjoy a flashback to decades gone by with a complimentary concert by Sha Na Na, known for their do-wop hit “Get a Job,” and a throwback runway show presented by Tatyana Designs on September 26. Country newcomers Chasin’ Crazy perform on September 27. All concerts take place on the main stage at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 Water St.
The crowd-pleasing burnout competition, roaring engines contest and slow drags return. Other attractions scheduled throughout the weekend include the Hubcap Art Gallery & Silent Auction, kid’s entertainment show, and automotive vendors and exhibitors.
Early car registration is now open. The Las Vegas Cruisin’ Association is accepting applications through September 15 at a discounted rate of $50. For those entering a vehicle after September 15, the entry is $65. Car show participants will have a chance to win over $15,000 in cash and prizes. More than 250 trophies will also be awarded in a variety of categories. Applications are available for download online.
