Sixth Annual Destination Champion Award Winner Announced
Sunset Station Hotel & Casino's Lauren Davis Honored

Henderson, Nev. Lauren Davis, Assistant Director of Sales at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino, is the recipient of the sixth annual Destination Champion Award, presented by the Henderson City Council on May 20. The award recognizes excellence in the destination hospitality industry.

The City of Henderson Commission on Cultural Arts & Tourism recognizes one outstanding hotel sales professional each year as the Destination Champion for their commitment to promoting and enhancing awareness of Henderson as a premier destination for both leisure and business visitors. Nominees are evaluated on their performance in a variety of areas, including participation in and support of the city’s efforts to promote the Henderson destination and demonstration of outstanding customer service and creative approaches to sales.

Davis has served as both Sales Manager and Director of Sales at a number of properties in Southern Nevada. Prior to being named Assistant Director of Sales at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino, Davis served as National Sales Manager at Westin Lake Las Vegas, where her first booking was an overnight stay for President Obama during his 2012 campaign tour.

An active member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Davis was also instrumental in the formation of the Henderson Tourism Council, which focuses on keeping business in Henderson and attracting out-of-market visitors, meetings and conventions.
