Henderson, Nev. – The city of Henderson invites residents to a virtual open house for the West Henderson Land Use Plan which is being updated for the first time since the economic landscape shifted.

Residents and visitors can learn about West Henderson and provide input on the plan for future development of the area. The city’s Community Development and Services Department created a virtual open house for participation and feedback. The open house is available until April 30 at cityofhenderson.com/LandPlan.

Community Development and Services will also host public meetings regarding the West Henderson Land Use Plan in May and June. Please check the website for dates and locations of the public meetings.

West Henderson is the area generally located west of the master-planned communities of Anthem and Seven Hills, south of St. Rose Parkway, east of Las Vegas Boulevard and north of the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area.  The West Henderson area is largely composed of federally-managed property with pockets of private properties scattered throughout.

In an effort to shape one of the most important growth areas of the city of Henderson, an update is being conducted to reflect current market conditions, and create an environment supportive of growth, quality of life and economic sustainability.
