Registration Opens April 9 For City of Henderson Summer Camps

Henderson, Nev. –With the school year set to wind down, registration for the City of Henderson’s summer camps gears up starting April 9. Available programs include Summer Kids Zone and Teen Kamp. Parents may reserve their child’s place for any week in the program with a $20 deposit per family per week for each program. Registration is available at all Henderson recreation centers, by mail and online at

Summer Kids Zone, for children ages 5-12, is offered 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 9 through August 22. The program provides supervised activities that may include music, games, swimming, arts and crafts and special events. The program is available at five summer locations: Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Rd.; Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.; Greenspun Junior High School, 140 N. Valle Verde Dr.; Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Pkwy.; and Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Dr. Participation is $99 per week, with sibling discounts available.

Teen Kamp, for preteens and teens ages 12-15, is available 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 9 through August 8 at Greenspun Junior High School. Themed weekly activities cover a variety of teen interests, including fitness, outdoor recreation, games and cooking. Participation is $110 per week, with sibling discounts available.
