National Wheelchair Basketball Association March Classic Tournament Rolls Into Henderson

Henderson, Nev. – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association March Classic Tournament rolls into Henderson on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 for hard-hitting hoops action. The tournament is co-hosted by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) and the City of Henderson. It takes place at Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St., with games scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. each day. Play will continue throughout the day until games are complete. Admission is free for spectators.

The tournament features six men’s teams from around the region playing in a round-robin format. Each team will play a minimum of three games.

“This tournament adds a new dimension to the diversity and quality of sports programs hosted by our community,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “These athletes truly embody the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship and genuine passion, and I’m pleased that they will be playing on our courts.”
