The City of Henderson is again hosting its annual Arbor Day celebration, an event that is open to all ages. Admission and activities are complimentary.

WHY: Councilwoman Gerri Schroder and KSNV meteorologist Kevin Janison will join more than 600 Henderson elementary school
students in celebrating Arbor Day in Henderson. Activities include a ceremonial tree planting, bucket truck and tree climbing demonstrations, a play by the Basic High School Thespian Troupe, and recognition of the annual Arbor Day fourth grade poster contest winners.
Henderson will also be honored as a Tree City USA community for the 23rd time
by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National Association of
State Foresters, Urban Community Forestry and the USDA Forest Service.
