Get Ready To Slide Into Summer

Henderson, Nev. School is out. Now it’s time to Slide Into Summer at Southern Nevada’s biggest slip and slide event. The all-ages event takes place 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 7 at Anthem Hills Park, 2256 N. Reunion Dr. Participation is $5 per person. Sign up in advance at any recreation center or indoor pool or online at cityofhenderson.com (activity code 336311).

Slide Into Summer features a giant slip and slide, mini slip and slide for the little ones, bounce house and interactive lawn games. Food concessions are available for purchase.

“Slide Into Summer truly signals the end of school and the start of summer vacation,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “Over the last two years, this event has attracted hundreds of children and adults who are ready to experience the thrill of a giant slip and slide. It’s a one-of-a-kind adventure.”

In order to slide, each person is required to have a signed waiver, available at the event and at the city's pools and recreation centers.
