Henderson, Nev. – Meet the people behind the badge at the Henderson Police Department’s first “Talk Shop with Cops” community meeting and learn more about what officers are doing to help keep the community safe.
Henderson Police will host the first “Talk Shop with the Cops” on Tuesday, April 30, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway.
“We want the community to know what we are doing to help make our city safe,” Henderson Police Chief Patrick Moers said. “These meetings give us another chance to hear residents’ concerns and continue to work together.”
This event will focus on activities and issues such as traffic, crime trends and neighborhood safety specific to the West Area Command. Henderson Police will hold “Talk Shop with Cops” meetings in the other two area commands in the coming months.
The meeting on April 30 will be hosted by Capt. Bobby Long of the West Area Command. A question and answer period will be held after the presentations. Chief Moers hopes that these meetings will provide all residents an opportunity to share with the Police Department their thoughts and concerns on crime and other issues in their neighborhoods.
We encourage all members of the community to come out and discuss issues and solutions.
