The city of Henderson is gearing up to host Crazy Spokes, a 30- and 60-mile organized bike ride through portions of the River Mountains Loop Trail, followed by a family festival and bike parade.

WHERE: Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Dr.
WHY: Crazy Spokes is a new bicycling event that challenges cyclists to conquer the Three Sisters of the world-famous River Mountains Loop Trail, a wicked ride only few have mastered. It features a 30- and 60-mile course that winds its way through the popular Henderson trail, into Lake Las Vegas and back to Mission Hills Park. Admission for the 30-mile ride is $15* (Activity Code 683002-59) and $25* for the 60-mile ride (Activity Code 683002-60).
The event also includes a free family festival, complete with live entertainment, bounce houses and kids’ activities, as well as a bike parade. Participants are encouraged to get crazy with their spokes and decorate their bicycle for the procession, which will be led by Mayor Hafen and the Henderson Police Department. Admission for the bike parade is $1 per entry (Activity Code 683002-58).
*Ride admission includes lunch and a novelty T-shirt. Prices increase to $30 for the 60-mile ride and $20 for the 30-mile ride after Thursday, September 12, 2013.
