Henderson, Nev. – Residents throughout Henderson are ready and willing to use their skills, interests and passions to benefit their community. Registered with the Volunteer Partnership Program hosted by the city of Henderson, these volunteers are now in need of projects that will put their talents to use.

The Volunteer Partnership Program helps match groups and individuals needing assistance with volunteers who want to give back locally. The website lists hundreds of volunteers registered in categories varying from clerical to cleanups to senior assistance.

Those needing assistance and seeking volunteers can register their projects online through a simple application on the city of Henderson website, while residents who register as volunteers can list their skills and experience. Individuals and groups are then able to search the database and match their interests.

“This program is filled with volunteers who want to better their community. I’d encourage anyone who could benefit from a little help from their neighbor to connect with someone through the Volunteer Partnership Program,” said Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen. “It strengthens our community spirit and speaks to the generosity of Henderson residents.”

There is no cost for the Volunteer Partnership Program and the city does not screen, sponsor or endorse any group or volunteer. More information is available by contacting Neighborhood Services at (702) 267-2000 or visit cityofhenderson.com.
