WHY: Crazy Spokes challenges cyclists to conquer the Three Sisters of the world-famous River Mountains Loop Trail, a wicked ride only few have mastered, as part of a 30-mile organized bike ride.
The event features a family festival, complete with entertainment; bounce houses; bike & helmet decoration station; big wheel races; and cupcake eating contest. Crazy Spokes also includes a lights and sirens bike parade with Mayor Hafen and the Henderson Police Department, where participants are encouraged to decorate their bike and wear costumes for a chance at prizes.
Registration for the 30-mile ride is $15. The public may sign up for the ride on Active.com. People interested in the bike parade may sign up for $1 per entry (Activity Code 683002-58), which gives them access to the arts and crafts at the decoration station to customize their bike and helmet.
Online registration for both the 30-mile ride and bike parade closes Friday, October 11 at 4 p.m. People may register for either activity the day of the event at Mission Hills Park at 6 a.m. Cash will only be accepted on Saturday, October 12.
