Henderson City Hall Offers Expanded Access With Additional Smartphone Options

Henderson, Nev. – Residents and customers of Henderson now have expanded options to connect to City Hall 24/7 using their mobile phones with the addition of the Contact Henderson application for Android mobile phone users.   The app makes it easy for residents to ask a question, share a comment or report an issue directly to the city.

Contact Henderson, an easy-to-use customer relationship management program, was implemented in 2008 to enhance citizen communication. Customers can submit a case which is automatically routed to the correct department. Customers can then check the status of their inquiry at any time through the system. Since its inception, almost 180,000 cases have been submitted with an average response time of less than two days

A Contact Henderson application for iPhone users was implemented in 2011 and city staff has been working to also make the app available for Android devices. With the addition of the Android app, it’s even easier for residents to point, click and submit real-time pictures of graffiti and other issues while out in the community. Location of the issue can also be automatically assigned with GIS integration.

“Using the Contact Henderson app and their smartphone, the ability to connect with our city leaders is now right in the hands of our citizens,” said Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen. “Henderson has always prided itself on looking for ways to provide the best customer service possible and this is a great tool to help ensure our residents have easy access to the information they need.”

Contact Henderson helps city leaders build interactive relationships with constituents, promptly address citizen concerns and stay informed on issues of importance to the community. Through the program, city employees can also find information to accurately answer questions for customers as information is shared across departments.

Customers can access Contact Henderson at cityofhenderson.com where they will find the program icon prominently placed on every webpage. Answers to over 1,500 Frequently Asked Questions are also available to provide an instant answer to the most common inquiries and comments.
