Henderson Celebrates America’s Birthday
Annual Fourth of July Celebration features music, games and fireworks

An evening of fun with family-friendly games, music, sports tournaments, and more is topped off by an 18-minute fireworks display.

 

WHAT:           Fourth of July Celebration

 

WHEN:           Thursday, July 4
                      
6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
                      
Fireworks show at 9 p.m.

 

WHERE:         Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Dr.

 

WHY:              The Fourth of July Celebration is an annual recognition of the nation’s birthday. This year’s family-oriented event includes new activities for everyone to enjoy: gunnysack and three-legged races, water balloon toss and water bucket brigade. Also new is a watermelon-eating contest. The evening concludes with an 18-minute fireworks display. Admission is complimentary.

 

                        The Randy Anderson Band, Henderson Symphony Orchestra and the Battle of the Bands competition will provide musical entertainment.

 

                        For the sports-minded, the 3-on-3 basketball tournament returns and is joined by two new volleyball competitions.

 

                        The event includes other children’s activities and food concessions.

 

                        Parking will be available at Foothill High School located on College Dr. A complimentary shuttle service from the location begins at 5:30 p.m.
