Henderson, Nev. – The city of Henderson recently recognized seven associations for their efforts to make a difference in their neighborhoods and the Henderson community. The Premier Community Award was presented at the Neighborhood Leadership Forum hosted by city of Henderson Neighborhood Services.
“It’s great to see our citizens take pride in their neighborhoods and work together to keep their community safe and attractive,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “We appreciate their dedication to make a difference and help us become America’s premier community.”
The Premier Community Award is given to a homeowners association or neighborhood association within city boundaries that has developed or completed a project benefiting the community within the last year. Nominations for the award must fall within two categories and are judged on criteria that demonstrate innovation, residents support, community benefit or partnership building. The seven recipients were honored for a variety of projects and events that improved communication, curb appeal and resident interaction.
Associations receiving the Premier Community Award include:
• Bluffs Homeowners Association
• Coventry at Anthem Homeowners Association and Coventry Kids Club
• Mountainside Homeowners Association
• Newport Cove Homeowners Association
• Sentosa Homeowners Association
• Sun City Anthem Community Association
• Trailside Point Property Owners Association
Held three times per year, the Neighborhood Leadership Forum helps build positive relationships and partnerships between local government and our community. The forum provides an opportunity for neighborhood leaders, community managers and city staff to connect and share information and resources.
