Bike Swap & Rally Rolls Into Henderson April 6

Henderson, Nev. Get your wheels spinning at the city of Henderson’s inaugural Bike Swap & Rally, the only event of its kind in the valley. The event takes place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway. Admission is free for all ages.

Participants may trade or sell gently used bikes and parts of all kind, including road, BMX, mountain, time trial, triathlon, and children’s bikes. A vendor marketplace will feature new bicycles, parts and gear, including shoes, clothing and helmets.

The event also features expert bicycle repairs, bicycle recycling, demonstrations, basic bike repair course, and a bicycle safety course. Information about bike commuting and safe routes to school will also be available. A free bike valet will be offered on site for those wishing to park their bikes during the event.

“Henderson is a welcoming community for bicycling enthusiasts and our Bike Swap & Rally will bring people of all ages and abilities together for a few hours of fun,” said Jacob Snow, Henderson City Manager. “You can learn about bike repair, take a ride on a safety course or even trade a bike your child has outgrown for a bigger one. There will also be many interesting presentations and demonstrations.”
