Henderson, Nev. – The five-time, first round Grammy Award nominated Vox Lumiere will make their premiere in Nevada, unmasking the secrets on a timeless classic, The Phantom of the Opera, with a unique twist on this legendary tale, Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Tickets are only $10.
Vox Lumiere will bring the timeless gothic romance to life on-stage with a modernized theatrical production like never seen before. The new Phantom, which the Los Angeles Times calls “Absolutely riveting!”, will focus on the popular love story, mixing rock concert with musical theater and silent film. Designed for a new generation of Phantom fans, audiences will enjoy Vox Lumiere’s fresh take on the story.
Featuring original music, exciting multimedia and an award-winning cast of singers, dancers and musicians, Vox Lumiere will take audiences on an extraordinary journey back to the world-famous Paris Opera House. Performed to the classic 1925 silent motion picture starring Lon Chaney, fans will become mesmerized as the alluring ghost story of ambition, murder and seduction is retold in this innovative, breathtaking and thrilling rock opera masterpiece.
Over the years, Vox Lumiere has been recognized for their outstanding work with a handful of Grammy nominations, two 21st Century Filmmaker Awards and a nationally-televised PBS special. They have performed all over the world and shared many other productions, including Metropolis, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Peter Pan, to an international audience.
