Henderson, Nev. – The new season of HISTORY’s hit series, American Restoration, will kick into high gear this week with a new episode featuring the show’s star, Rick Dale, visiting the City of Henderson for the 2011 Super Run Classic Car Show. Tune in to HISTORY, tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 18 at 10 p.m. to see Rick, his son Tyler and brother Ron at Southern Nevada’s largest car show!
Super Run has been a partnership between the City of Henderson and the Las Vegas Cruisin’ Association since 1999. Held towards the end of September, the four-day show is a nod to the car and music culture of yesteryears. More than 1,000 hot rods are displayed throughout the streets of Henderson’s Water Street District, attracting over 100,000 people from across the nation, including international visitors, for a weekend of nostalgia.
In addition, the city’s premier special event also includes adrenaline-powered competitions, from slow drags to roaring engines and burn-out contests, as well as nightly concerts by legendary oldies groups and country greats. Past performers have included Chubby Checker, Jan & Dean, The Grass Roots and Aaron Tippin. All festivities are complimentary to spectators.
Mark your calendars! This year’s Super Run, which celebrates its 13th anniversary, will be held Thursday, September 20-Sunday, September 23 at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, and within the Water Street District. Schedule is tentative and is subject to change.
