Henderson Welcomes New Children's Parade of Nations to Heritage Parade & Festival

WHAT: This year’s Heritage Parade & Festival will debut its newest attraction, the Children’s Parade of Nations, a cultural fashion show, courtesy of the International Food & Folklife Association. The organization is seeking entries for the event. Admission to participate is complimentary. Applications are now available at HendersonLive.com.
Youngsters, representing a variety of countries and ethnicities from all over the world, will dress in traditional garments and costumes, from the customary Japanese kimono to the Native American head dress and Irish kilt, for the Children’s Parade of Nations. They will celebrate their culture and heritage, marching to “It’s a Small World (After All)” around the Henderson Events Plaza.
The Children’s Parade of Nations is part of the Heritage Parade & Festival, a birthday celebration for the City of Henderson. This special event will honor 59 years of long-standing traditions and rich history on Saturday, April 21. The community will have the chance to come together for a day and enjoy a variety of activities including the Heritage Parade, live entertainment, a classic car show and more. Admission is complimentary.
