Henderson Shines on Saturday

The city of Henderson is hosting Henderson Shines, an annual community clean up and recycle day. Residents will have the opportunity to recycle, donate household items, have documents shredded, and dispose of trash in a sustainable manner.

WHAT: Henderson Shines 
WHEN: May 12, 8 a.m. to noon
WHERE: Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive
WHY:  Henderson Shines is a community clean up day where residents donate and safely dispose of items no longer needed.

Henderson Shines provides an opportunity for Henderson residents to clean up their garages, yards, and neighborhoods while also helping to protect the environment.

Participants can drop off unwanted batteries, paint, and oil. They can shred documents at no cost and dispose of tires, cellular phones, and e-waste (such as computers and televisions). Gently used clothing and household items will also be collected.

Visitors will be entered in a raffle to win a Neuton electric lawnmower and other exciting prizes.
