Henderson, Nev. – The City of Henderson will put an artsy spin on Mother’s Day, hosting its annual tradition, Art Festival of Henderson, the community’s premier fine arts show, Saturday, May 12 – Sunday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the historic Water Street District. Admission is complimentary.

“We’re very excited to host this event,” said Bristol Ellington, Henderson’s Acting City Manager. “It’s been a long-standing tradition in Henderson for years and we’re thrilled to be able to share it with art enthusiasts from all over the valley.”

A juried art show, the two-day event will feature a large selection of outdoor art boutiques, featuring artwork by some of the region’s best artisans. Each specialty booth will feature top art pieces from a variety of mediums. Such items include paintings, ceramics, contemporary works, photography, fine crafts, fashion jewelry and home décor.

Art Festival of Henderson will also include hours of exciting entertainment, which will appeal to all ages. In addition, the event will feature an unforgettable art experience for youngsters, putting their creativity to the test at the Imagination Station. The attraction will contain a variety of hands-on children’s activities, an interactive artist area and a colorful display of chalk art masterpieces.
