City of Henderson Named as One of United States Safest Cities by InsuranceProviders.com

Henderson, Nev. – The city of Henderson, Nevada, has been singled out again as having some of the safest neighborhoods in America, this time by InsuranceProviders.Com, an independent consumer comparison website.
In 2011 Henderson was also named the second safest city in America by Forbes magazine. The latest recognition was made based on three safety factors including crime rates, likelihood of natural disaster and driving safety.
“This reinforces again our belief that we are achieving our success in providing a safe and secure community for our residents,” said Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen. “Safety is a community effort and is a byproduct of all our residents working together with us to provide a place to call home that we can all be proud of.”
The group collected FBI uniform crime statistics on violent crime, NOAA data on natural disasters and information assembled by Allstate on the safest cities to drive in America. With the compilation of that data, the group ranked Henderson as the 5th safest city to live in overall based on those factors.
According to the website, www.insuranceproviders.com, “next to Plano, Texas, [Henderson] has the lowest crime rate of any city with a population of over 100,000.” That, plus other factors merited the ranking of number five in the nation according to the site.
