Art Festival of Henderson Unveils New Children's Imagination Station
Interactive district features chalk art competition, repurposed art classes, yoga studio, special kids' performances and more

WHAT: This year’s Art Festival of Henderson, a Mother’s Day weekend tradition, will feature a new children’s attraction, the Imagination Station. The area will include a variety of interactive art activities, “green” art demonstrations, hours of live entertainment, chalk art contests, as well as artist booths, complete with clothing, art and other items designed for kids by kids available for purchase. Admission is complimentary (*Some activities may require a fee).
The Imagination Station is an art experience youngsters will never forget. Other key highlights include a giant recycled soda can mural, painting lessons, make & take Mother’s Day gifts, Henna artists and a relaxing yoga studio.
Currently, applications for the Imagination Station’s chalk art competition are being accepted. Cash prizes will be awarded in two categories, student and adult, as well as for the People’s Choice winner. Deadline to submit an application, along with a sketch of the artwork, is this Friday, May 4.
