Henderson, Nev. – On Monday, Oct. 15, the city of Henderson will recognize various public and private agencies for their partnership in the Henderson Coordinated Community Response (HCCR) – a network of community partners working together in "responding to victims of violence." This program is funded in part through a grant bestowed by the State of Nevada Attorney General's Office, and Nevada State Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto will attend the luncheon to recognize the efforts of the city of Henderson and the HCCR partners.

On May 4, 2006 the state of Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting Attorney's adopted the Domestic Violence Prosecution Best Practices Guidelines, which references that a coordinated community response is one of the core strategies in effectively stopping violence and protecting domestic violence victims – a social problem in all communities. The Henderson City Attorney's Office was in a unique position to spearhead a coordinated response by engaging various public and private agencies working closely with law enforcement agencies, domestic violence groups, and other community resources. The vision of HCCR is to encourage and support ongoing development and coordination of victim services throughout Henderson, Nevada.
