Henderson Animal Care and Control (Henderson Animal Shelter) is excited to be included in the monthly neighborhood Services E-Inform!

With October and Halloween upon us, Barkules would like to remind you to make sure your gates are locked and yards secure so your pets canít get out. With many of you being hosts to trick-or-treaters at your homes, make sure your pets are secured safely within the house before you open the door for those ghosts, goblins, super heroes and other costumed children.

This is a scary time of year for your pets. Dogs and cats communicate with body language and therefore are visually sensitive. Some of the nightís arrivals can be pretty unnerving, and sometimes, biting a reached out hand is the only method they have of communicating that they are scared. Happy October and Happy Howl-oween!!!
