Second Thursday of Each Month - Henderson Municipal Court
Henderson Life of Crime is an educational program designed to reach youth, young adults and their parents. The program centers around the everyday choices our youth make - good and bad. Conflict between parents and teens can be challenging and stressful The Life of Crime program provides life-changing information and is a valuable experience for parents, their teenagers and young adults, even in the absence of discord. The beginning of the program starts with a brief discussion after which there is a demonstration by different divisions of law enforcement including K-9, SRT (or SWAT), the CAT team and ROP(E) team. After a brief recess, inmates from the detention center give a very detailed and graphic description of what life is really like behind bars. The inmates also give a brief description of the choices they made and how they ended up on the wrong side of the law.
