Contest Guidelines
The city of Henderson is seeking your pictorial point of view about what makes Henderson a great place to live, work and play in the “What Makes Henderson Great!” photo competition. There is no cost to enter and you may enter up to five images. The deadline to submit entries is December 19, 2011.
There are no restrictions for submissions or themes. Examples of subjects may include, but are not limited to: landscapes, landmarks, friends, animals, abstract, sports, portraits, etc. The only requirement is that images must be taken within the City of Henderson limits.
Winners will have their image(s) displayed at city hall, displayed on the official CityofHenderson.com web site and Facebook page or they may be incorporated into the Mayor’s annual State of the City. In addition, winners will also receive recognition by the Henderson City Council.
- By submitting photos, the contestant acknowledges and agrees to the terms of the contest
- Photos must be "recognizably Henderson" and taken in our city
- Location of image must be provided
- Limit up to five entries per person
- Photos must be of sufficient resolution to print at 8"x10" without loss of quality with:
- 4 megapixels minimum
- JPG is the preferred file format saved at highest possible quality
- Maximum file size to upload is 10 megabytes
- Pictures taken by non-digital cameras are eligible but must be digitally converted (scanned) to meet the requirements listed above for email upload
- All entries may be used in City print or electronic media
- All entries must be received by December 19, 2011
