Though his career has began over a decade ago with genuine rock 'n roll honky-tonk, Wainwright has broadened his artistic scope over the years to include music representing virtually every corner of the blues.
Composer, producer, vocalist, entertainer and award winning piano player; Victor Wainwright is a raucous high-octane, dynamic performer and crowd pleaser with soul to spare.
"Victor Wainwright is all about boogie woogie piano, deep soul, and a voice that recalls Dr. John at his best. He is a rising blues star, a tremendous player." - Chicago Blues Guide 2013
One of the world’s premier upright bassists and many have called him the 'Jimi Hendrix of the upright bass', and a 'master musician and live performer'. Named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the, “10 New Artist You Need to Know” (November 2016.)
In addition to his solo career with his band, he has performed, recorded, produced and toured with artists including Chris Cornell, Christina Aguilera, Sean King, Mos Def, India Arie, Lauryn Hill, Terrence Howard, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Jason Mraz, Jeff Beck, Rihanna, and Cee Lo Green.
At just 32 years old, Jarekus Singleton is a musical trailblazer with a bold vision for the future of the blues. Springing from the same Mississippi soil as Charley Patton, Muddy Waters and B.B. King, Singleton’s cutting-edge sound—equally rooted in rap, rock and blues traditions—is all his own. He melds hip-hop wordplay, rock energy and R&B grooves with contemporary and traditional blues, turning audiences of all ages into devoted fans. With his untamed guitar licks and strong, soulful voice effortlessly moving from ferocious and funky to slow and steamy to smoking hot, Singleton is a fresh, electrifying bluesman bursting at the seams with talent.
