Finance
The Finance Department serves the citizens and staff of the City of Henderson by providing budget, accounting and financial management support necessary for efficient operations, prudent decision making and sound municipal stewardship. Finance Department functions include budget & strategic management, cash receipts, cash management, accounts receivable, local improvement district assessments, accounts payable, debt service, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, grant accounting and reporting, and business licensing.
Fiscal Sustainability
In 2008 the City of Henderson recognized down-
ward trends in key financial indicators that were just beginning to hit our national economy. Those trends quickly led our country into the “Great Recession” we continue to experience today. The City moved quickly and is closely monitoring the
