General Description
The Business License Division provides service to the general public, business license applicant
and each existing licensee. Our objective is to assist applicants in obtaining the proper business
license and to ensure compliance of all businesses with the City's business license ordinances.
Specifically, the business license staff issue business license applications, answer inquiries for and about existing licensees, assist applicants in the completion of their application and follow-up on the approval and issuance of license certificates. Written business complaints are also received and followed up by our Enforcement and Investigations unit

Business License fees can now be
paid online. If your fee is determined by a gross revenue declaration,
by the number of professionals at the business location, number of vehicles,
etc., you will need to call the Business License Center at 702-267-1730 to
have your quantity updated. Calls are answered Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am-5:30
pm.

On November 7, 2006 Question 5, the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act (NCIAA) was passed by a majority of Nevada voters. The Act was initiated to protect the public from secondhand smoke. The NCIAA became effective December 8, 2006 and prohibits smoking of tobacco products in most public places and indoor places of employment. The Southern Nevada Health District is charged with enforcement of the Act.
