What is the West Henderson Commerce Centre?
The West Henderson Commerce Centre consists of 502 acres of land
located south and east of the Henderson Executive Airport. The City has
determined that this land, due to its proximity to significant transportation modes,
such as, the Henderson Executive Airport, Interstate 15 and St. Rose
Parkway, provide an ideal area for development as an employment and business
center.
Where is the West Henderson Commerce Centre?
The West Henderson Commerce Centre is in west Henderson and is divided into two parts: the northern
most part is located along Via Inspirada, south of Bruner Avenue, and the
southern portion is located along Via Inspirada, south of Larson Lane.

How was the West Henderson Commerce Centre created?
The West Henderson Commerce Centre was created through federal legislation called the
Omnibus Public Land Management Act of
2009, which was signed by President Obama on March 30, 2009. The Act directs the US Secretary of the
Interior to convey the land from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to the
City. The Act stipulates that the City may sell, lease, or otherwise
convey any portion of the LTA for non-residential development. On
October 6, 2010 the City and BLM entered into a Memorandum of Agreement and
a Patent for the property was issued to the City.
How will the proceeds from the selling or leasing of
the land be spent?
The gross proceeds from the sale of land within the West Henderson
Commerce Centre will be
paid to BLM and distributed in accordance with section 4(e) of the
Southern Nevada Public
Land Management Act of 1998 (112 Stat. 2345).
Is the West Henderson Commerce Centre available for for purchase or lease?
Yes. Sale or lease of the property is subject to appraisal and
approval by the City Council. All sales and leases are required to be
sold at appraised value.
What types of businesses will be located in the West
Henderson Commerce Centre?
A
master plan for the West Henderson Commerce Centre was approved in October
2010 which contemplates a high technology mixed use commercial, office and
industrial business park that is focused on employment.
