Certain application types are heard by the Planning Commission and then a recommendation is
forwarded to City Council for final action. These applications include:

Appeal Procedures
Appeals of Planning Commission decisions must be submitted to the Community Development Department
within nine calendar days of notice to the City Clerk of the action taken at the Planning Commission
meeting, which is typically the Monday following the Planning Commission meeting. Unless
appealed, final decisions are effective on the tenth calendar day following notification to the
City Clerk. If the last day falls on a weekend or a City-observed holiday, the time is extended
to the first working day after the weekend/holiday.
Appeal applications may be obtained in the Community Development Department on the first floor of Henderson City Hall, 240 Water Street, Henderson, Nevada, or on our website. Once the application has been completed, the appeal will be placed on the next available City Council agenda. City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 240 Water Street, Henderson, Nevada.
