Professional Biography
Barney Rabold joined the city of Henderson as Manager of Utility Management
Services in 2005 and became Deputy Director of Utility Services in January
2007. He was named Acting Director of Utility Services in April 2011. The
Department of Utility Services is responsible for all facets of water,
wastewater, and reclaimed water services for the City. The department
provides treatment and distribution of drinking water, collection and
reclamation of wastewater, laboratory testing services, utility
infrastructure planning and management, as well as customer and billing
services.
Barney earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He earned a Masters Degree in Financial Management at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Nevada, North Carolina and California. From 1999 to 2005 he served as Infrastructure Manager for the Portland, Oregon, Water Bureau. He also served in the Civil Engineer Corps, U.S. Navy for 21 years.
Barney’s professional affiliations include the American Water Works Association, the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, the Nevada Water Resources Association and the Water Environment Federation.
